Sugarplum Visions, 2008

A Christmas holiday pony who got finished late, inspired by both the Sugarplum Fairy from the Nutcracker ballet and a line from the classic christmas poem, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas: "And visions of sugarplums danced in their heads".Her sweets are sculpted with Aves Apoxie Clay and then glued on. Paint is all acrylics and sealed with Mod Podge matte. All of the white "frosting" bits, freckles and sparkles are coated in unltrafine iridescent glitter. She's very sparkly! Sugarplum Visions is rehaired in Dollyhair.com Sugarplum, Virgin Snow, and a small stripe of Custompony.com's green Leap Frog.
