I'm currently working on creating this site, which will be a resource page for as much accurate info as I can gather on a very sweet but overlooked toy line from the 80's. There are very few Fairy Tails pages out there, and just one or two that list any information on accessories and such. Most of the info will be coming form my own personal collection of FT Birds, which is still small but growing.

Some pages may not lead to the correct information quite yet. They will get updated soon.
Please check back later, thanks for dropping by!

Welcome to Flight of Fancy, a Fairy Tails site.

Fairy Tails: Birds with happy endings!

Fairy Tails birds are brightly colored, plastic birds that fit nicely into the palm of your hand, with over 10 inches of brushable, silky tail tresses and shorter head plumes. Their feet are hinged, allowing them to clamp onto your finger so they can sit and be carried around, or onto the included perch when not in play.
The Fairy Tails toy line was produced by Hasbro in the late 80's, alongside it's more popular cousin, My Little Pony. Both toys share the traits of having colorful plastic bodies, painted symbols and brightly colored brushable hair. While they are completly seperate lines, Fairy Tails often get miscorrectly classified as part of the My Little Pony Best Friends series due to these similarities.
The painted eyes of the Fairy Tails bird seems to be one of their greatest quality issues. Many times the eyes seem very messy, with colors out of alignment with the rest of the pattern, probably due to the complex (for the 80's) process of having to align 3 or 4 layers of paint color during prodution.
